Once again, our Honor Guard hosts a Show and Shine Car Show to recruit new members AND to raise money for a local organization. A 50 Mile Ruck from Lincoln to Omaha will be held August 21 & 22. Participants will sleep on steps of Capital Building in Lincoln. Saturday evening, they will walk 50 miles from Lincoln to Omaha. Proceeds from all activities will be shared by Moving Veterans Forward and Guitars for Vets Omaha. VFW Post 2503 is happy to be a sponsor of both groups and their work with Veterans who are homeless or suffering from PTSD. Help us to help them.

- Two separate baskets from our neighbors, Great Clips. They donated and display our flyer prior to the event.
- Three separate Afghans, crocheted by an anonymous donor. Lots of love is in each stitch, it’ll keep you warm in December!
- A Game Night package from the Raabe’s and the McQuilliam’s. Snacks and your choice of still-sealed collector editions of NASCAR Monopoly; 75th edition Monopoly; and Clue. Cribbage and Dominoes complete the package. Go old school with the kids or grandkids tonight!

Join a group of ladies who help our Veterans at the VA Homes and Hospitals who make items for daily use. Lap quilts, bibs, neck pillows, etc. are some projects they work on.
