We were blessed with the story of Private Robert Brunton, United States Army. His niece, an Auxiliary member, shared his story through memories and old news clippings. It was a touching reminder of how many military people are still missing or POW’s. The story, read by Sharon Cooper of the Honor Guard, told of the Death March to Bataan, torture and beatings. Upon returning to the United States, the Private, his mother, and sister, went on an all expense paid trip to Chicago.
