We are the National Award Winner for Community Service from the National VFW Organization. We display the sign in the Canteen.
We recently received $3,500 from the ABATE Organization, who promote safety on the road not only for motorcyclists but also for drivers. The stipulation was we needed to share the funds with a Veterans Organization in the area. We selected Moving Veterans Forward and Guitars for Vets. We worked with them during the summer to raise money for their organizations. They each received $2,240 checks which included the ABATE funds.
We also awarded $2,020 to Nebraska COPS, which we raised on July 8, 2021, at the Car Show. The organization needed $1,400 more to send the families of three slain officers to Washington DC for Police Week in November. They will see their loved one’s names on the National Wall. We were proud to raise funds for all three organizations. We plan to continue the relationship with all three of them in the future. Thank you all for your help.
